Will Putin visit Estonia?
He’s always wanted to see Vembu Tembu Land
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesperson said the Russian head of state could visit Estonian President Arnold Rüütel after the border agreement between the two states is ratified. The Estonian parliament ratified the agreement in May of last year, but the Russians declared the agreement claiming the Estonian parliament added additional provisions.
“Certainly it may be presumed that after the border agreement is concluded, then Putin will make a visit to the Baltic states, since the president has not yet been there,” said Putin’s spokesman.
We wonder what Messrs. Putin and Rüütel might discuss. Arnold could reminisce about summer on the kolkhoz. Vladimir could talk about his September dinner with Madonna.
