Estonian Seaman Captured by Pirates

The Somali pirates captured the German cargo ship, MV Lehmann Timber that was sailing under Gibraltar's flag, on May 28th, and the crew is still being held captive. Somali pirates are not like the metrosexual Jack Sparrow pirates in Hollywood. These pirates often use automatic weapons and grenades when attacking ships, and are less interested in love, and more interested in money.

Somalia has condoned Western companies, in the past for continually paying off the pirates, saying that it only encourages pirates to act lawlessly. However, most companies are willing to do anything to make sure employees taken hostage are released.Our hearts go out to the crew, and to our native Estonian: we desperately hope to see you home and away from those dirty pirates soon!
